So you’ve made the big decision to get married (congratulations), have chosen a vague date and planned on hiring a tipi. The next vital step is planning all the nitty gritty, which can either fill you with delight or dread. Chances are you are tickled by the whole idea of camping, and want to make a weekend of it, so read on, chillax and let us guide you through the process…

Seating plans, booze budget, child friendly or not, how many guests, wedding list… But if you have decided on a tipi wedding, then that is part of your dilemma sorted already, as whatever kind of outdoors wedding you are planning, we can cater for you.

Most of our happy couples love the idea of being outdoors with nature, and their tipi will reflect that. We have worked with countless couples over the years, and noticed how they dress their tables, bars and dancefloor to create a laid back festival vibe. From names in mini milk bottles, to a themed photo booth, the details make the day special. Add a handwritten running order, a bouncy castle for the big kids, a photo tree, and lots of bunting, and you can guarantee you will get pictures to remember! Make a wedding hashtag too, so everyone’s images can be shared.

Another great thing of having a reception in a tipi, means that you don’t have to do traditional catering; You can opt for a hog roast, buffet or barbecue or a street food van; We can provide seating from long tables to formal round ones and we always give a table plan so you know there is plenty of room for guests to circulate.

Presumably you will want to take advantage of your beautiful woodland/farmland/location setting, so we can provide chill out furniture- with or without sheepskin, fire pits and fairy lights for the trees. And if you are planning a night (or weekend) of glamping, then we can outsource bell tents for you and your guests, so you can have your first night as Mr and Mrs under the stars.

We do bars, but you might want to book a mobile bar company (The Bug Bar is great), who can also provide a mobile disco. However, with British weather being (aherm) inclement, we can sort you out an indoor dance floor and/or stage with wooden flooring for any precious shoes…Our favourite way of doing this is with a tipi extension which adds an extra twenty percent space, so lots more room for grooving.

If you are unsure about your number of guests, that is not a problem; Get in touch with an overestimated ballpark figure and we can give you a quote. Consider that one of our Big Top tipis can comfortably seat 75 people, and the smaller Cirrus tents can hold up to 60. After a meal, this is then generally turned into the chill out or party room.

Decorating a tipi in a festival theme is lots of fun, and we offer bunting, fairy lights, up lighters all in keeping with a shabby chic theme. Alternatively, we can provide slick, high gloss effects which give a much more sophisticated feel. Pull in one of our glitter balls, fairy lights and some of our chill out furniture, and bingo, happy couple, happy guests, great wedding.

We even have a preferred supplier for festival themed loos! In fact, the only thing we can’t help with is wedding outfits, but have noticed that a lot of our brides look stunning in a flower crown (and have standby wedding wellies)….And if you’re looking for something different, we can organise everything from archery lessons to a croquet kit, just ask us!
